Entrepreneur Summit 2015 organized by GHS-IMR
The Entrepreneur Summit 2015 was organized at Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania institute of Management & Later the winners of the business plan were announced. The program ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Bhagwan Jagwani, GHS-IMR. The program was attended by young entrepreneurs, members of TiE-UP, Faculty, Staff and Students of GHSIMR. Research, in collaboration with TiE-UP and Hindustan as media partner. The event was inaugurated by, Mr. R.K. Agarwal, President TiE-UP and Dr. (Prof.) Rakesh Premi, Director GHS-IMR. The objective of this summit was to create awareness amongst budding and young entrepreneurs regarding government policies, make entrepreneurs realize the importance of information technology for the growth of businesses and to motivate young entrepreneurs through sharing of experience of the seasoned entrepreneurs. The business plan presentation saw five innovative business plans being laid out to the judges, these five were the best amongst the 40 business plans screened prior to the event. The morning session was reserved for them. Out of five the four qualified teams were from the city itself and remaining was from Varanasi. The competition had seen an active participation. The business plan presentation was followed by lighting of the lamp ceremony by Mr. R. K. Agarwal, President TiE-UP, and Dr. (Prof.) Rakesh Premi. In his welcome address, Dr. (Prof.) Rakesh Premi, commended the association between TiE-UP and GHSIMR. He said that the TiE's mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking and education. And that of GHSIMR is to mentor future managers through quality education. The commonality of the interest has seen the partnership between the two grow in leaps and bounds, over the years, and will continue to flourish ever. The program started with the Panel Discussion on topic- Make in India: Opportunities Galore for Entrepreneurs. The discussion saw great minds of Mr. Sudeep Goenka, Director, Goldie Masale, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Dy. Director IMT, Mr. Anil Kumar, Dy. Commissioner, Industries, Mr. R. P. Srivastava, Dist. Manager, Bank of Baroda, and Mr. A. K. Singh, Dy. Zonal General Manager with Mr. Amit Tiwari, CEO, MKT Software, as moderator. They successfully engaged the budding and young entrepreneurs with the opportunities and policies that are designed to support entrepreneurs. Later in the day Mr. Sachin Sahni, Director, HealthzoneIndia shared his experiences under My journey as an entrepreneur. Mr. Aditya Bhatia, VP Kulwanti Hospitals shared his views on Disruptive Innovation and new age entrepreneurship in Healthcare. The guest speaker Mr. Satish Bhatia, founder mytaxcafe.com enlightened the audience on the must have skills for ecommerce entrepreneurs. Chief Guest, Dr. Sameer Khandekar, Prof. IITK, spoke on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He called on the entrepreneurs to realize the importance of information technology and challenged them to understand how they can harness information technology for enhancing their enterprises performance.
