Galaxy- The Alumni association of GHS IMR organized its 8th National Alumni Meet- CONFLUENCE-2017 on Monday, October 16, 2017. The campus was abuzz with nostalgic memories of alumni and the excitement of the students. The event witnessed participation of alumni of the last 22 years.
The evening began with anchor Vidisha Bansal welcomed the alumni with open heart to the scintillating evening full of songs, dance and enjoyment and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr. (Prof.) Rakesh Premi, Director GHS IMR, President of alumni association Mr. Sumit Raghunath. In his welcome speech Director said, “It is such an exciting and nostalgic feeling to welcome you all here and interact. All of you have been a pillar of strength in making GHS-IMR a great place to learn.”
Mr. Sumit Raghunath, President Alumni committee, GM- Revenue, Jagran Prakashan Limited in his address said, “It is a great pleasure to address you all on this auspicious occasion of our alumni reunion. A day like this is very important as it gives us the opportunity to meet with many of our friends after a long time. He also stressed the importance of further strengthen the bond between alumni and the alma mater.”
The program began with a solo singing performance by Vanshika, giving a melodious start to the event. The Group dance performance by Khyati, Pratibha, Kanica, Meghna, Pooja Agarwal, Rushna, Tanya and Vanshika made everyone tap their feet and Dainton to the beats played.
The event was followed by a humorous skit performance on “Story of an MBA Guy” by Rachit , Akshay, Anmol, Vanshika, Nikunj , Samrat, Riya Singh, Shubhang and Shreyansh.
Further a slice of humour was instilled in the atmosphere when Akshay, Rachit, Anmol, Samrat, Nikunj and Hasan performed a Kawwali on “Ho Mubarak Tujhe Diploma Mil Gaya”
Vanshika and Rachit played host to the Games session with the alumni. The session saw vibrant participation from the alumni.
Sagar and Jasmine gave a soulful dance performance on “Raabta”, which was followed by group singing performance by Isha, Vaishnavi, Shrutima, and others on “Dil ne jise apna kaha” and “Ek ajnabi”.
An interesting contest named Golden Memory Pic contest also took place in which Alumni were asked to send their best picture clicked during college days out of which five were selected for the “Golden Memory Pic Contest”. The winners were announced and gifts were given.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Kunwar Milind Singh, Chair- Galaxy, GHS-IMR which was followed by an invitation for dinner.
