69th Republic Day Celebration
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated enthusiastically by the faculty, Staff and Students of GHS-IMR. Director, (Prof.) Dr. Rakesh Premi, hoisted the National Flag. As a part of ‘institute’s vision’, children from ‘Divyang society’ were invited who are either completely or partially deaf and dump. Our students who spent the day with them organizing various events realized and acknowledged their contribution towards society and pledged to continue the good work.
The event started with the hoisting of National Flag, followed by a performance on National Anthem by Divyang children. After that various activities games, dancing, painting, etc. were conducted and everyone participated.
Games like River of Eden, Make a group, Tipi Tipi Top, etc. were played. There was a dance performance by special children and they also presented a mime on “Beti Bacho, Beti Padhao”. At the end a painting activity was organized, in which, apart from special children, students and teachers of GHS-IMR also took part enthusiastically. Mrs. Manpreet Kalra, founder of Divyang society, translated everything through sign language, so as to make those children understand about the ongoing activities.
On the occasion, sweets & snack boxes were distributed among all students a special children.
