Workshop on “Healthcare Analytics”.
Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management and Research organized a one day workshop on “Healthcare Analytics”. The program focused on offering insights into clinical care, performance management, patient records, diagnostics and service delivery system. The workshop intended participant’s handiness with business analytics tools which will equip them to apply analytics for strategic and operational decision making in healthcare.
In the introductory section Dr. Monika Srivastava, Professor, GHS-IMR took an over view of Analytics in Healthcare and its imperativeness in the present time. In the second session Mrs. Suprabha Dubey, Director, R.K. Devi Healthcare Solutions explained about Healthcare Quality Indicators and the process of framing the Quality Indicators.
In the post lunch the session participants did exercises on analytical tools and techniques. They also got to know about managing performance through Balance Scorecard. The fourth and final session was on Quality Audit and Audit Tools. All the sessions were having multiples examples so as to make the concepts relatable to participants real time work.
The program had many participants from different organizations like Maduraj Hospital, Chauhan Hospital, RK Devi Memorial Hospital, GAMC, Banda, GSVM, Medical College Kanpur etc.
Participant’s feedback was taken towards the end of the workshop and all the participants suggested having similar workshop in future to sensitize healthcare professionals for constant quality improvement.
During the valedictory session Dr. Awadh Dubey motivated the participants for having big dreams so that they remain enthusiastic every day for work. Professor (Dr.) Arati Lal Chandani, Principal, GSVM Medical College who kindly consented to be the chief guest distributed the certificate of participation and assured for extending all possible support and collaboration for bringing excellence to the health care sector.
