Orientation Program PGDM batch 2019-21

July 06, 2020 was a special day for the PGDM (2019-21) students at Dr.  Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management and Research, Kanpur. It was the orientation program of the students on their first day of the 4th trimester of the two year PGDM program.

The chief guest on the occassion was Ms. Shilpi Dahiya from Singapore.

The online program was initiated by Dr. Kunwar Milind Singh, Associate professor at GHS-IMR who introduced the chief guest to faculty members, students and staff of the institute. 

The programme started with the blessings of Godess Saraswati by playing Sarswati Vandana, Ms. Shilpi Dahiya, Chief Guest of the occasion enlightened the students with her words of wisdom.

Ms. Shilpi Dahiya currently is Managing director of A3Partners Pte Limited, Singapore and founder of insideoutdreams.

A Gallup certified strengths coach and a certified image consultant from London Image Institute, Ms. Shilpi has coached leaders from the big 4 consulting companies and Senior. management professionals from across various industries. 

She talked about the measures students can take to revitalize their employability quotient in these unprecedented times, when the world has taken a different turn because of COVID19 outbreak. Considering the fact that the virtual interviews are going to be a new normal in campus recruitment, she also apprised the students about the essential skills required to outperform in the virtual interviews. 

Post her interaction Mr. Siddiq Aazam, Head Corporate Relations, GHS-IMR, addressed the students about the placement process to the forth coming placement season and informed them about the placement activities planned at institute with an objective to ensure 100% placement of eligible PGDM (2019-21) students.

The programme came to an end with vote of the thanks by Dr. Kunwar Milind Singh. The programme was witnessed by Director, Faculty, Staff members and the PGP Second year students.
