DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD – 2019

The Distinguished Alumni Award of the Year award honours professional accomplishment and community leadership that has brought significant recognition to the Graduate alumni and to the Institution. This honour is bestowed on those illustrious alumni who have excelled at the national or international level, and whose accomplishments have embodied the core values of Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of management & Research, Kanpur. This award recognizes a remarkable achievement by the recipient that merits recognition as the Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna of the Year.

The Recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Alumni Awards is Mr. Anshuman Sinha, an alumnus of Class of 2003.  Galaxy – The Alumni association of GHS-IMR heartily congratulate Mr. Anshuman Sinha on this notable achievements.

Anshuman Sinha (Silver Medalist, 2001-03 batch) is currently working as Regional Manager-Franchise Workshops and OEM business-South, with Castrol India Ltd. (a part of British Petroleum plc). He is one of the senior Sales & Marketing leadership team members within the organization. His experience spans more than sixteen years across organizations like- Asian Paints, Shell & Castrol. Areas of expertise include- Business development, Key Account Management, Performance Management, Change Management etc. He is quite avid about Cyber Safety agenda and is currently acting as Cyber Safety Ambassador within his organization as well. He demonstrated strong subject matter expertise and functional leadership skills and as a result he got nominated under Emerging Leader Program within BP group (British Petroleum plc) for Asia & Pacific cluster of countries in year 2017 and went on to work on numerous global projects. His stints across geographies in India and abroad helped him in developing deeper understanding of business & a strategic mindset.

As an endeavor to promote sustainability, he played a key role in launching an industry first Carbon Neutral Certified automobile dealership in Bangalore. His efforts for upgrading Industrial Technical Institutes (ITI’s) in North Eastern states by setting up of Learning Centers for improving their employability levels also got appreciated under Skill India program. He is a trained life saver and has facilitated many safety programs for promoting road safety and workplace safety agenda impacting 5000+ lives so far.

He is an avid traveler and enjoys photography. Macro Economics remains his favorite subject. Key accolades received so far include, “220 Million” Award, “Race to Win” Award, “Star Club” Awards, “BP Energize” Award, “I for Safety” award etc.
