 PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Accreditation and quality assurance bodies in higher education are heavily emphasizing on research involvement and research output. Writing and publishing good-quality research papers have become a major KPI of academicians. Moreover by taking part in the process of research they are able to refine their core role of teaching also. Research outcome are beneficial for the discipline, industry, region and the nation.

Understanding the imperative of research in the present time we have designed this faculty development program on ‘Writing and Publishing Research Papers’. This intensive seven-day program will serve as a practical guide on paper writing and resolving dilemmas on publishing.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

  1. Explain the step wise process of writing a research paper.
  2. Make participants aware of recent trends in the structure and format of research papers.
  3. Identify the tool and techniques of research.
  4. Know the expectations of publishers and reviewers.

LEARNING OUTCOME

  1. Decide the topic and objectives of research.
  2. Choose an appropriate research process, methods and tools.
  3. Create a tentative structure of research paper.
  4. Selecting the publishers and responding to the reviewers successfully.

Research scholars and Faculty members of academic institutions.

Program Date and Venue

  • The program shall be organized online from 27th June 2021 to 4th July 2021
  • It will be one week program

Pedagogy and Assessment

The program shall use a judicious mix of a variety of methods to ensure effective learning in a practical context including tutor led discussions and simulation exercises. All sessions will ensure that there are practical implications related to complete research process. The presentations and lecturettes will provide technical inputs on specific parts of Paper writing and Publication

The program will be running virtually/ using an online platform. Faculty interaction will be from 3:00 PM to 5:15 PM and in the morning half participants will be involved in doing assignments given by faculty and uploading the same. Certificate of Participation will be provided to those who successfully complete the program. That is those who attend all sessions and do the required assignment.  

Participation Procedure

All prospective participants are requested to fill and submit the registration form the link of which is given below. The form should reach by 5:00 PM on 25th June 2021. There are limited seats in the program. The selection of the candidates will be based on a first come first serve basis. The selected candidates will be intimated accordingly.

Fee

A nominal payment of INR 500/- is to be given as a registration fee. The details of which are given in the registration link.

Certificate of Participation

Digital Certificate of completion will be provided to those who successfully complete the program. That is, those who attend all sessions and do the required assignment.  

Resource Persons

The resource persons of the workshop will be highly qualified, experienced and committed. Elite faculty members are on the board of government organizations, corporate houses, profit and non-profit organizations and are thus able to bring their varied experience to the table. The faculty members will work with the participants as mentors and help in achieving the program objective.
