Corporate social responsibility is defined as “overall involvement in activities that improve the quality of people’s lives”. With this objective the CSR club of GHS-IMR has always been very active in lending its service to the society.
On 14th Feb, when our inspiration Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania ji left us for heavenly abode, Institute thought to bring back to life the memories, we cherish of our most respected Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania ji, CSR club of GHS-IMR took initiative to take a step forward in the way of betterment of the society by helping the orphaned people. The visit to the orphanage ‘Snehalaya’ located in Shyam Nagar, Kanpur was organized by the group of students and faculties to spend their time with orphan – spastics to cheer them and make their day memorable and also promised to continue visiting them whenever possible. Here the spastics people who have been left away by the family are given shelter. Group of nuns inspired by the Mother Teresa have given their everything in the service of such people. The student distributed grocery items, clothes, and fruits and also organized high tea for them. The students were emotionally involved while volunteering in this activity and saw the perspective, which further would help them to be more compassionate for their fellow beings.
