Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management & Research (GHS-IMR) is dedicated to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and accuracy of personal information in line with Indian law. GHS-IMR is committed to taking all necessary measures to ensure privacy and security in its operations.

  1. Scope of the Policy: This policy applies to all members of Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management & Research, including students, faculty, researchers, staff, third-party contractors, and others with access to the information. It covers any information collected through visits to GHS-IMR’s website and information gathered through university logins by students, faculty, and staff.

  2. Information Privacy:

    2.1 Personal Information GHS-IMR understands the importance of keeping personal information confidential and secure in this digital age. The institute does not disclose personal information for commercial purposes or any other purposes outside the scope of its normal functions. Information is collected, used, stored, and disclosed only as needed for academic, research, and administrative purposes, in compliance with applicable laws and university policies. Personal information will not be disclosed and will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected.

    2.2 Email, Computers, and Networks The contact details of individuals with whom the institute has email correspondences will not be disclosed or shared with any other institution. The contents of emails sent to or from the institute’s servers will be monitored only if there is a breach of security protocols. Emails routed through the servers are stored temporarily and may be disclosed only if required for investigations related to violations of the institution’s rules, regulations, and policies or by legal authority. Individuals using a computer owned by the institute or connected to its network must abide by the institute’s rules and regulations. GHS-IMR reserves the right to monitor all hardware and software owned by it, or connected to its network, to prevent or investigate improper or illegal use.

  3. Security GHS-IMR takes necessary steps to protect personal information but cannot ensure complete security as it is impossible to fully safeguard data transmitted through the internet. The institute is not responsible for any loss or theft of information.

  4. Links to Other Sites The institute may provide links to websites outside its network and is not responsible for the content or privacy policies of any linked websites. When connected to a third-party link, which is not operated by the institute, it is the individual’s responsibility to review the privacy policies of those third-party sites.

  5. Information Gathered from Video Surveillance Equipment: The institute has installed CCTV or surveillance cameras in many key areas throughout the campus to ensure safety. The purpose of these devices is to protect people and property and not to interfere with academic freedom or individual civil liberties. Recordings from surveillance equipment will be kept confidential and only accessible to the Director, IT Department, and authorized management personnel. Access to recordings will be given to outside officials only in special circumstances involving investigations of incidents or illegal activities. Security camera recordings will be retained for at least one month and may be preserved for longer if authorized by higher authorities.

Admission Cancellation & Fee Refund Policy

  • Fees once paid are refundable as per AICTE/Institute policies but are not transferable.
  • Application Form fees (online/offline) is not refundable in any case.
  • All refund requests must be submitted by the student/parents in writing addressed to the Director, in person, by regular mail, or by email. The Director shall acknowledge the receipt of the same.
  • All dues need to be paid in order for the formalities of withdrawal to be completed.
  • The fee refund is solely based on the balance amount in the student’s account after all applicable dues owed to the College are deducted. Discounts or concessions provided, may be void and may not apply upon withdrawal.
  • The excess payment received through technical or other reasons will be refunded only after due verification and/or within 30 days after receipt of written complaint by the parent/student.
  • The mode of refund will be electronic/ physical and will be refunded in the account from where the transaction was made.
  • The parents/students need to pay the payment gateway processing/convenience charges over and above the fees/dues payable to the College.
  • Service tax rate applicable will be as notified by the Government from time to time will also be added to the charges payable to the online payment gateway.
  • No interest is paid on a refund of any fees/deposit.
  • The refund of any fee is subject to the refund policy prevailing at the time of seeking a refund.
  • The College reserves the right to modify and amend refund policies at any time by uploading the same in the College’s website
  • All disputes are subject to the legal jurisdiction of District Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
