The Carnival Fresher’s Party 2023, organized by the Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Institute of Management and Research (GHS-IMR), on September 22, 2023, served as a warm welcome for new students, fostering a friendly and encouraging atmosphere that aimed to boost their confidence and nurture their creative potential. This event played a pivotal role in uniting seniors and juniors and forging bonds within the GHS-IMR family.
Themed around a colorful carnival, the event was marked by a distinctive color code. The event commenced with an inaugural address by Prof. (Dr.) Rahul Goyal, the Director of GHS-IMR. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of students aligning with the institute’s vision, focusing on skill development, and making the most of the available campus resources and environment. He stressed that while acquiring domain knowledge was essential, developing soft skills and active participation in extracurricular activities were equally significant aspects of a well-rounded education.

To warmly welcome and integrate the incoming fresher’s into the GHS-IMR community, senior students showcased dazzling performances encompassing singing, dancing, and musical acts. The fresher’s, in turn, impressed with their outstanding stage performances. In the journey to select Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2023, a series of competitions, including a ramp walk, a talent showcase, and games were conducted. Judging the winners proved to be a significant challenge due to the exceptional performances delivered by the students. Finally, at the end of the event, the highly anticipated titles were announced, naming them Mr. Fresher Ayush Chaubey and Ms. Fresher Ishita Singh Chauhan, and Mr. Evening Anmol Agarwal and Ms. Evening Rimjhim Dhawan, respectively.
Professor (Dr.) Rahul Goyal, along with Professor (Dr.) Parul Goyal and the rest of the faculty, presented awards to the winners. Subsequently, Professor (Dr.) Rahul Goyal offered warm thanks and extended his congratulations to the winners. He also expressed his appreciation for socio-cultural committee students who took part in and volunteered for the event, encouraging them to get involved in additional extracurricular activities. Following this, the dance floor was made available to everyone for their enjoyment.
